Business visa information

Russian business visa is supposed to be issued for the people, who visit Russia for business purposes, for example, to work for a company, to participate in conferences, trainings or negotiations etc. But because of the flexibility, this type of visa also used by ordinary travelers (it allows long stays, multiple entries).

Russian business visas can be valid from 1 month to 12 months and may be single, double and multiple entry. A multiple 1-year business visa allows you continuously stay in Russia for the period not longer than 6 months, after, you should leave Russia (even for 1 day) and come back. You may go to Baltic states or Finland, because they are close.

To obtain a business visa, you need a business visa support invitation. Usually, a company, that invites a foreigner for business, requests such service from a Russian travel agency (registered in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs MFA). The travel agency submits all travel data of the person to MFA, pays a processing fee to the MFA and after a few days receives the invitation.
