Tourist Visa

Tourist Visas are the most straightforward and inflexible, but it’s relatively easy to obtain. Typically this is issued for a maximum of 30 days. A tourist visa is best when you know exactly where and how long you will be staying without diverting from your planned itinerary. In theory you’re supposed to have booked accommodation for every night or transit information you will be in Russia. Happily we are such nice folks that we will help you even if you are not staying with us. Our visa invitation will confirm accommodation for every night you plan to stay in Russia.

Ordering Visa Support

We can send you your visa support by either fax or mail. Most Russian Consulates will accept a fax copy of your visa support invitation.

PLEASE NOTE: We can provide you with a tourist invitation for up to 30 days. Tourist visa is not extendable so please apply for more days then you need just in case you stay longer (miss a train or flight or any other reason).

Visa Processing

You must process your own visa. To obtain your Russian Tourist visa please give to Russian Consulate:

· passport valid for at least a month beyond your return date;
· three passport-size full-face photos;
· a completed application form, including entry/exit dates;
· visa support letter from youth hostel;
· handling fee

The Russian Embassies in each country have their own rules about how long it will take to get the visa once you apply and how much they charge. To be safe, ask at your local Russian Embassy or Consulate about the latest changes in visa low.

Migration Card and Visa Registration

Hold onto the Migration Card you are given when you enter Russia because it must be registered within three working days of arrival. We do not charge you extra for doing this but you must come to our office to get it done. It will take two days (registration days vary depending on the time of year) but can save you from serious problems at departure, ranging from paying a fee to missing your flight while officials interrogate you as to where you stayed in Russia.
